Winter Log Cabin

This scene was created as a practice project to explore the Blender to Unreal Engine workflow. The project didn’t start with a detailed concept. I generated an image of a cabin in a forest using AI, as a loose visual guide to experiment and build the scene. The interior was inspired by multiple sources, and lots of Google searches. The goal was to get hands-on experience building scenes inside Unreal.
Throughout this project, I focused on modeling assets in Blender, importing them into Unreal Engine and assembling the full scene. I also went through multiple iterations of the cabin and the environment, settling for a cold winter night.
This also helped me identify areas I want to improve—especially lighting, shadows, reflections and VFX/particles. This project was a great learning step toward building better, more immersive environments in the future.
Assets used:
- Many of the props and textures from BlenderKit
- Ultra Dynamic Sky
- Brushify
